Virginia Beach Vacation 2012

We went to the beach for 5 days at the end of August. We had a great time. It started out with 3 pukes/stops/outfit changes in the first 2 hours. Like seriously, before we got to Elkins. We had decided to go Rt. 250 most of the way since our check-in time wasn't until 4 p.m. What a scenic, relaxing route. Nope, CURVES, CURVES, and more CURVES. It was like driving Gauley mountain for 4 hours! Halle doesn't get car sick, er, wait, I guess she does! Oh well, we got her cleaned up and some Dramamine. She was fine after that and her spirits were never dampend. She really is such a delightful kid. She slept most of the way and Alex and I got to talk uninterrupted. Was this trip relaxing? No. Was it fun? Yes! We went to the beach every day, swam in the pool, played Putt-Putt, went to the arcade, shopped, ate, and played games. Lots of memories were made! Here is the first of many posts about the beach. More detailed ones will follow.

(I will apologize for the quality of the pictures. The humidity and our room being 65 degrees made for a foggy camera!)

PS: We got to eat the most amazing McDonald's food ever. It was somewhere in Virginia and it was fast, clean, and the food was actually good. We don't eat at the McDonald's here in town because it is none of those things, so this was a real treat lol. On a funny note, they just tore down the bad McDonald's and looks like they will rebuild. Here's hoping!

First time on beach this year.

Hal and Daddy spent a lot of time in the ocean.

If you look closely, you can see a dolphin.
