Just stories

Visual Aid
I told this story at small group Friday night, and will share here. Halle was chewing on her blankie and making sour faces so I told her to stop. She pulled the blanket out of her mouth and said "It's just boogers, mommy!" Grody.

Speaking of grody, Alex had never heard this word before. We heard someone on TV say "Grody to the max" and I said that we should bring it back. He thought I was crazy because I knew what it meant lol. So anyways, there you go, I used grody in a sentence and am officially bringing it back.

Here are some funny sayings happening in our house right now. These are probably like 1% of the funniness that comes out of her mouth. I hope some of them at least translate to text and are still funny, if not, I will have a little record of them to look back on.

"Mommy, I toljoo no!"  (Mommy, I told you no!) This one will come back to bite me in the rear, but it is so cute right now. She usually points at me when she says it.

"Pay it youd jus yike a rocksar" (Play it loud, just like a rock star) A Fresh Beat Band Song.

"Nice and cean" (nice and clean) She says this after a bath or after I vacuum.

"Hojou" (Hold you) This means, pick me up.

Visual Aid

"I has a nice nap" (I had a nice nap) She says this anytime she wakes up, from naptime, in the car, in the morning, and when she is pretending to sleep. This is the first thing you hear every time.

"My bankie, I want my fish bankie" (My blankie, I was my fish blankie) This is usually after you get in the car without it, go downstairs without it, go anywhere without it.

"I'm gonna pay my drums, they so loud" (I'm going to play my drums, they are so loud) She is a drummer at heart. She gets it honest. She is good too. She can play and sing at the same time!

"aww wontcha come on" (Get up and come with me) She does this when you don't want to get up and see what she wants to show you lol

"I jus do it, aight" (I'll just do it, alright) She says this when she asks you to do something for her and you don't immediately do it.

"Don't be sad" She says this if you are sad, or if you aren't smiling for any reason.

"isok" (It's ok) She says this if you are upset or sad. She is such an empathetic little girl.

"Daddy, open da door" (Daddy, open the door) She says this in the morning when she wakes up, after "I has a nice nap" even though Alex is usually at work already.

"Wiwy, come ere boy" (Willy, come here boy) She really loves her doggy and he loves her.

"He needs hep" (He needs help) Usually referring to Willy, or another dog who wants inside. She says this at the Anderson's house to their dog, Rex.

"Where daddy go" (Where did daddy go) At least 3 or 4 times a day. You would think she knew daddy worked by now!

"Smell my stinky feet" I love this kids feet, I always have. I love smelling her stinky feet when she plops them in my face!

"I farked" (I farted) A fart is a fart, and around here, we think they are hilarious and should be celebrated.

"I burked"(I burped) See farked

She randomly sings Twinkle Twinkle, ANY Yo Gabba Gabba songs, Fresh Beat songs, Happy Birthday, Soft Kitty from Big Bang Theory, ABCs, and then she adds her own words to all these tunes and sings them.

Sometimes when she really wants something, like chapstick or dora snacks, and you tell her no, she will whisper the request into your knee...or arm, leg, head, whatever is near her at the time. It is so cute.

Alex's 30th birthday is coming up, so we have been buying him presents and wrapping them. Halle gets excited about anything birthday party related so she starts talking really fast and says "we gonna say, surprise daddy, happy birthday, we got you a cake, ok." This is just what I can remember her saying, it sometimes gets other stuff added in.

I swear, one day last week, while Alex was getting ready for work, Halle woke up did her usual spiel and said MOMMY 130 times. 130 times! And that was after I started counting so I'm sure it was really in the 150 range. I felt like Lois and Stewie from Family Guy.

When you used to read her a story at bedtime, she would want to sleep with the book. Well, I guess she figured out that wasn't good so now as soon as you get done reading, she says "I don't yike it." Half the time, you don't even get The End out.

In the morning she recaps what happend yesterday. This morning she recapped that daddy tickled her last night and she pee peed on the couch. sigh. it sucked, but was funny at the same time. It went like this: Giggle, giggle, laugh, cackle...stops laughing, gets serious, "Daddy, I pee pee." Accidents happen.

Princess movie, crafts and pee on my hands

This is how Halle watches Beauty and the Beast:

Cheese

Playing with her toys while watching the movie.
She looks like she is in a Penny's Dance Studio picture pose. lol

I am not lying when I say she comes up with this stuff on her own. I didn't even know we had the teenie tiara!

We did some Easter crafts the other day. We try to do Jesus and bunnies:

Glue is her best friend

Working hard on her bedazzled crosses

Bedazzled Crosses with gift wrap bow ribbon robe and playdoh grass.

cupcake wrapper flowers.

a tissue paper and glue egg. I doubt Ms. Woods knew how much I got out of art class at Valley Elem.

Easter Bunny and Jesus
I took Halle to the doctor yesterday because she was complaining about her nether region hurting. Turns out she was consipated but we didn't find that out until after she had peed in a cup, er, my hand, first. We did find a small ear infection and got meds for that so I guess it's good that we went. Now if I could just get her to drink the prune juice! She also told her daddy when he got home that "we went to dr. and i peed, and i said, mommy, catch my pee!" She is such an animated little story teller!

Catch All

This has been a tough week. Physically, EMOTIONALLY, spiritually. But, that is not what this blog is about so onto the happy goodness...(just know that we are not perfect, well-balanced, or even normal on most days lol)

FUNNY STORY: Yesterday, I was trying to get Halle to pick up her toys. She was picking them up and stopped, looked at me and said, "I'm sleepy, I need a rest, Mommy will pick up the toys, aight." She then dropped everything got her blankie and laid down on the couch. If you didn't know, adding aight (alright) to the end of a sentence means its okay and you just go ahead and do it...at least according to Hal!

How Halle plays PS3. The Diva plays "Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix"  lol
I put her smaller toys in these 3 drawer Sterilite containers. When she goes to drag something else out,
I say "Okay, put up your toys" and she said "thas ok I just play with these toys"

The Minnie Mouse ears are worn everywhere. Here she was wearing them to Mi Pueblo.

I am ashamed at how filthy her glasses are! This is her bicyclecycle helmet.
We got this before she had glasses so I think it's funny it has glasses. Alex says it looks like Chucky from Rugrats.
We went on a 6 mile bike ride yesterday, but I didn't get any pictures. Halle actually fell asleep in the bike trailer.
Thanks for the trailer Danelle!
Halle's great aunt Nancy sent her some barbies. She has collected them for years and gave Halle some to play with.
She especially loves the Tickle Me Elmo barbie. She opens them, gasps, and says "ohhhh, so prettty." Thanks aunt Nancy!

Well that's all I have for today. I think we are going to have a lazy rainy day...watch movies, play toys, and have a nice long nap, ALRIGHT.

Weekend Trip to PA

So we went to Robinson Township this weekend to do a little shopping. I won't go into the hotel stay (they were hosting a slew of middle-schoolers and we checked out early). Anyways, here are some pics from the weekend and some of our shopping finds...and of course, random Halle goodness.

Playing with animals.
Jumping on the bed.

Does she love her Daddy or what?!

Supposed to be sleeping...

Halle's newest Build a Bear, er, cat-Soft Kitty

They actually had Halle's Twinkle Toes for her kitty!

Swimming in the pool. I think we are going to do swim lessons at FSU soon.

Halle and Soft Kitty in matching pjs. Don't pay any attention to the creeper behind her.

Hanging out on the couch not eating her chicken.

Twirling around being happy.

She took her glasses off and of course, fell down.

Again, GLASSES OFF = WIPEOUT

My new Ikea shelf and Basket for my board game collection!

My new nail polish shelf!

A Low Carb Breakfast Recipe

Alex and I are trying to lower our carb intake. Here is a recipe from Allrecipes.com that is quite good!

A tip: To make the batter unlumpy, mash with a spatula and then whisk it til your arm hurts a lil.

My first Non Halle post

Some things I am kinda obsessing over right now.

The Hunger Games Trilogy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hunger_Games (The 1st movie comes out March 23rd!!!) squeals like a teenager

Thoughts: It's kinda sad, makes you think, and you will feel totally weird after finishing the series, but it goes away after about 3 days.

Downton Abbey. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Downton_abbey KINDA SUPER OBSESSED! I've watched the first season on Netflix watch instantly and I will probably buy the second season from Amazon.

Thoughts: It's a little slow, but you can understand their british (sometimes I can't), has lots of history, and lots of soapy goodness.

Birchbox. http://www.birchbox.com?raf=47x4p You pay $10 a month and they send you a lovely brown box full of beauty products to try out.

Thoughts: They are a little bigger than sample sizes, but are usually high-end products that you wouldn't want to buy just to try. Really though, it's just awesome to get that little box in the mail once a month. If you have the extra $10 a month to splurge, make yourself giddy and go for it. If you are on the fence, sign up now, because I was waitlisted for 2 months. Read more about it in the link.

Picture catch up

Funny story first. I curled Halle's hair with Caruso curlers today while we watched Annie. When we took them out, her hair was in ringlets and she wanted to look in the mirror. She looked and said, "I don't yika Annie hair!" and burst into tears.  She actually tugged at her curls to pull them out! Being Mom of the Year that I am, I just laughed at her. She finally got a brush and brushed the curls out into a Farrah Fawcett do. She yiked it much better.

Our play group Valentine party.

Beautfiful in her "puwple gasses"

She loves reading books.

Concentrating hard on stacking blocks.
my two nutty children...she has her face plastered on a Fresh Beat Band poster.

Showing off her horsey pajamas.

She was falling asleep in the spare bedroom while watching cartoons.

On their way to the children's discovery center.

The girls climbing and playing.

Of course, she found the dress up stuff. She is a butterfly princess.

Building forts and such.

Our attempt at a group picture lol

Playing drums along with James Taylor and Carole King. my kinda girl!

Visits and Pictures

Halle had a visit from Grammy, Grandpap, and Zaza on Saturday. We took Zaza prom dress shopping. It's always easy because she is a bit like me. If you like it, you get it. No sense in trying on a thousand dresses to get the 1st or 2nd one you tried on. So, Eliza would try on a dress and open the fitting room door. A few times Halle would say "Try again!" and that was pretty funny. Hal then decided she needed a dress of her own and picked out a white one with butterflies. Thanks Grammy.

On Sunday after church, Halle went home with the Tustins. She stayed there all day and got to see a baby calf, a kitty, a doggy, and Maleri painted her nails. She also blows raspberries now when you mention Bubba. They really wore her out, because we couldn't keep her eyes open on the way home. She also went to sleep without her blankie, which we accidentally left there. She asked for it the second she woke up on Monday and I told her that we left it at Twyla's house. She seems okay with this answer, but we may have to run over and get it before small group meets on Friday. Thanks for watching her Twyla and Mal!

Okay, no more jibber jabber...picture time!!

How she watched the entire Puss in Boots movie.

We I may have a loopsy addiction.

Working on a Moon Dough creation.

My beautiful little girl

I'm pretty sure if we lived anywhere besides WV she would be in commercials by now.

Making it "Nice and Cean"

Cleaning up her moon dough. If only the vacuum really worked...instead she just grinds it into the carpet.
